In the book of Acts, there’s a story that’s both strange and striking. A group of men watched Paul perform miracles and cast out evil spirits in the name of Jesus. They thought they could do the same by simply copying the words and getting the same results. They spoke His name, but they didn’t bear His mark. They didn’t realise that real authority, identity, benefit and impact come from being known by God, not just knowing about Him. The story ends dramatically. The man possessed by the demon leaped on them, overpowered them all, and beat them so severely that they ran out of the house naked and wounded. The story is in Acts 19:13–16.

The evil spirit actually talked back and said: “Jesus I know, and Paul I’ve heard of… but who are you?”

Once you receive the Spirit of Christ, you are marked. Heaven knows who you are. You are not just another face in the crowd; you are one in the crowd, distinct and known. Not lost, not invisible. You are Known! And the eyes of the Lord are constantly upon you, watching over you, guiding you, and keeping you. Hear this:

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.” Psalms 34:15

Think about this for a moment. There are more than seven billion people on this earth, yet God knows every single one by name. Yes, you. He sees you. Every detail of your life is before Him, your joys, your struggles, your hidden thoughts. There has never been a single day when God’s gaze was not upon you. He knows you better than you know yourself. “Even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” Matthew 10:30. He knows your name, your age, where you live, where you work, what you dream about, and even the deepest corners of your heart. Here is the incredible truth. He is not too busy to notice you. He is not distracted by the chaos of the world. When you cry out to Him, He is already listening. He is saying: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

God is deeply invested in your life by His spirit dwelling in you. He delights in you. He is passionately interested in your success, your growth, and your joy. Nothing in your life escapes His attention. “When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13–14. Every trial, every delay, every victory is all known to Him and He is with you through it all.

Listen to God’s words to you: “Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.” Isaiah 49:16. You are precious, invaluable, and eternally loved. Whatever you are facing today, remember this. God will never leave you, never abandon you, never look away. He is your ever-present help, your constant friend, your unshakeable refuge.

So, lift your head and take courage. You are not unseen. You are known. You are cherished. You are deeply, personally, and powerfully loved by the Creator of the universe. Now step out in faith and confidence. Use His name and His authority today. Stand firm against the powers of darkness, speak with heaven’s backing, and move boldly in the strength of the Spirit within you.
