Yesterday, we finished the Bible study reading Ephesians 6:10 in the amplified version:

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might.”

The harshest words Jesus ever spoke were not aimed at notorious sinners, but at the most rigorously religious: the Pharisees. They knew the Bible; They gave money; They fasted twice a week. They did all the religious stuff. But they were called whitewashed tombs (Matthew 23:27). Our spiritual maturity is about loving relationships with God.

True strength comes from walking closely with the Father. It’s not about effort alone or letting go completely, but about partnership; working with His strength, not apart from it. Jesus said, “Abide in me, and I in you… for apart from me you can do nothingJohn 15:4–5.

Spiritual maturity grows in the soil of relationship with God. When your heart rests in His love, His power begins to work within you (Ephesians 3:16–17). The more you draw from Him, the more His strength becomes yours.

Clive described a beautiful image of yielded strength in birds and a glider. A bird doesn’t flap endlessly to reach the heights; it leans into the wind, allows it to lift and carry it. Its own strength works with the wind, not against it. Our strength is most effective when we yield to God’s Spirit.

Please feel free to add practical application of this!
