Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
Ephesians 1:3

When Paul writes that God has blessed us, he is not talking about something we hope might happen one day. It is already done. The scripture uses past tense so that we will stop waiting for what heaven has already given.

To be blessed means God has placed His empowering grace upon your life. Before Christ, we lived under the weight of sin and failure. We were like trees planted in dry ground, trying to produce fruit without life flowing through us. But when we came to Jesus something shifted deep within. God moved us from curse to blessing, from striving to grace, from trying to earn His favour to living from a gift already given.

There is no curse in your blood anymore. The voice that once told you that you are not enough has lost its authority. The devil has no legal right to declare failure over one whom God has empowered to prosper. Deuteronomy 8:18 reads: “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” Sometimes our feelings do not match this truth. Our circumstances may challenge it. Yet the blessing of God is not fragile. It is not built on our performance but on Christ Himself.

So how do we live like blessed people? We begin to walk in the light of what God has spoken. We say yes to the truth that has already been written over our lives. We stop praying from a place of lack and start thanking God that every spiritual resource is already in Christ and Christ is in us.

When we acknowledge that God gives the power to gain wealth, it naturally follows that we rely on Him for the strategies, insight, and guidance to prosper. Prosperity is not just about working harder; it is about walking in God’s wisdom, listening to His counsel, and aligning our plans with His purposes.

The Lord can give ideas that seem impossible from a human perspective, open doors that no one else can open, and direct our steps in ways that multiply what we have. James 1:5 reminds us:

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”

This does not mean life will never be hard. It means that the power to overcome is inside you. You are not a candidate for failure. When you fall, the blessing lifts you again. When you face opposition, the blessing strengthens you. When you are uncertain about tomorrow, the blessing reminds you that God has gone ahead to make a way.

Today, take a moment to breathe in this truth. You are blessed. Not by people, not by chance, but by God Himself. Let that settle into your heart. Let it challenge every lie that makes you feel small. Let it become the foundation of courage as you step into what God has called you to do.

Father, thank you that in Christ I am already blessed. Help me to see myself the way you see me and to walk in the fullness of everything you have already provided. Teach me to live with confidence in your grace and not in fear of failing. Amen.
