Lord, by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong…Psalm 30:7

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain…1 Corinthians 15:10

Many people believe that success is the result of hard work alone, but the Bible shows that divine favour is what truly sets a person apart. The Israelites laboured in Egypt for 430 years, yet in a single day, God’s favour delivered them into freedom and abundance (Exodus 3:7-8). Joseph’s journey also reveals this truth—despite betrayal and imprisonment, he was lifted to prominence because God’s favour was upon him (Genesis 41:14-16).

Apostle Paul acknowledged that all he achieved was not by his own strength but by the grace of God at work in him. Even Jesus, during His earthly ministry, grew in wisdom and stature and increased in favour with both God and man (Luke 2:52). This reminds us that favour is a key ingredient in a life of distinction. It is not something we earn through human effort, but we can position ourselves to walk in it daily by living in alignment with God’s will.

As believers, our salvation in Christ is the foundation of divine favour. We are no longer under the curse of misfortune but have been separated unto blessing (Ephesians 2:7-9). The anointing of the Holy Spirit carries the fragrance of favour, just as precious oil releases a sweet aroma (Psalm 45:8). When God’s Spirit rests upon a person, it attracts divine and human favour. Prayer is also a powerful channel for securing favour. Jabez, whose name meant sorrow, cried out to God, and his story was rewritten. Through prayer, he stepped into a life of blessing, proving that divine favour can overturn any misfortune (1 Chronicles 4:10).

Are you relying on your own strength, or are you trusting in God’s favour? When we surrender our plans to Him, we allow His grace to work in ways that human effort never could. God’s favour will open doors, establish your steps, and bring you into places you never imagined (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Exodus 3:7-8 shows how God’s favour delivered Israel from bondage. Romans 9:11-16 reminds us that His favour is given by divine choice, not by human effort. Isaiah 43:26 encourages us to remind God of His promises through prayer.

Father, I thank you for your favour upon my life. Let your grace go before me today, opening doors of blessing and establishing my steps. Help me to walk in alignment with your will, knowing that your favour is what sets me apart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I walk in divine favour. God’s grace surrounds me. My life reflects His goodness. Amen!

As you step into today, trust that His favour is working on your behalf. Favour is your birthright—walk in it!
