“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” ” Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendour, Jerusalem, the holy city…” Eph 5:14, Isaiah 52:1
Dear brothers & Sisters in Christ, how many of us are idle? How many of us are tired, troubled, distressed, thinking about our future, the future of our children, the concerns of our home, or material things, weighed down with worries? Meanwhile, in other parts of the world, there are men giving their lives to bring the knowledge of the Gospel of the perfect man, JESUS CHRIST, to all nations. They strive to make the Word of God flow for the salvation of souls, despising their lives, forsaking everything, even leaving their families, so that they can bring the perfect Gospel of salvation to the nations (Matt 28:19-20).
You and I, who have every opportunity, who live in comfort, and who have everything we need to fulfil the Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20), must recognise the weight of our responsibility. If JESUS CHRIST is in us, we are called to share the plan of salvation, not only with our families, but with everyone around us (2 Cor 5:20).
How many people have you prayed for today? For how many people outside your circle have you interceded, cried out, and groaned in prayer (1 Tim 2:1)? Remember, the love of God is manifested when we love our neighbour (1 Joh 4:7-8). The greatest love of all is that we make known that JESUS CHRIST is Lord, that He will return soon, and that time is short (John 14:3; Rev 22:12).
Wake up, church! Wake up, my brother & sister! In the love of Christ, I do not judge you. I am telling you to rise up, you who sleep, and CHRIST will shine on you (Eph 5:14). Revive His gifts within you; revive the Word that is in you; revive that fire! That Word that was imparted to you (2 Tim 1:6). Let CHRIST shine, and He will open doors of salvation, so that you can communicate the excellent Word of blessing (Col 4:3).
May He heal this land and close the doors of idleness and perdition that are bringing lust and destruction to the church and to this world (2 Chro 7:14). Blessings, my beloved brethren. God is with us (Matt 28:20).
A hug in Christ. Daniel Ramirez
