For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Eph 6:12

Our last Bible Study covered this:

Believer, your battle isn’t against human—not other people—not your boss, your neighbours, your spouse, or your friends. Your real enemy is Satan, the fallen angel, and his demonic forces. The Amplified Bible calls them “master spirits.” They have a plan, designed to catch you off guard, and their greatest weapon is deception. You might not even realise you’re in a war—that’s part of the strategy.

Satan is a liar. Jesus called him “the father of lies” (John 8:44). Here are some of the lies he whispers to control your mind:

  • You don’t need to listen to anyone. This is your life—live it your way.
  • Sins and immorality won’t hurt you.
  • The devil is a myth. There’s no Satan, no hell, no God. Live for now.
  • If God is real, why are you struggling? Why do you feel so alone, so powerless?

Satan plants these doubts gradually, targeting your weaknesses and insecurities. He knows where you’re vulnerable and uses it to lead you astray.

Understand this: you are in a spiritual war. Satan is the enemy, and the battleground is your mind. His goal is to establish strongholds in your thinking, but there’s good news. Jesus gives you the key to victory. In John 8:31-32, He says: If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free.”

God’s Word is your weapon. It holds the truth you need to overcome every lie. The Bible equips you with everything necessary to win this battle for your mind.

And remember—this is a winnable war. 1 Cor 10:13 says, No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out

No matter how tough the fight seems, God will never leave you stranded. He has already promised that you will not be overwhelmed. Whatever temptation comes your way, He will provide the strength and the escape route. Victory is always within reach.

2 Cor 10:4-6 says: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
