“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” Rom 12:1
True and proper worship is yielding to live for God wholeheartedly.
Worship can be found in every act, big or small, when it is done in the spirit of honouring and glorifying God. Worship is not confined to a time or place but flows through every part of our lives. When we sing praises, we declare His glory. When we pray, we commune with Him. When we serve others, we reflect His love. Even in the mundane tasks of daily life, when done with a heart devoted to God, we are worshiping.
Col 3:23 says “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
A heart of worship keeps us grounded, constantly aware of God’s presence and purpose. It reminds us that every breath we take is an opportunity to live for Him, to draw closer to Him, and to reflect His love to the world around us. Worship, in its truest sense, is a life poured out in devotion to the One who is worthy of it all.
“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Cor 10:31
Father, thank you for the desire you have placed in our hearts to live in constant worship of you. We ask that you guide us, strengthen us, and help us to live each day fully aware of your presence. Let every breath we take, every task we perform, and every moment we experience be an opportunity to draw closer to you and reflect your love to the world around us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
