“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘Therefore I hope in Him!’” Lam 3:22-24

The redemptive work of grace includes not only the forgiveness of sins but also encompasses healing and wholeness. Through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we can experience healing from past wounds, restoration of brokenness, and wholeness in our relationship with God.

Peter wrote in 1 Peter 2:24, “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds, you have been healed.”

We need to believe in the promises of God and trust in His power to heal and restore. This faith is not just intellectual assent but a deep, heartfelt trust in God’s goodness and sovereignty.

Do not believe the lies of the enemy. Although healing and wholeness may not always come instantly or in the way we expect, it is important to remain patient and persevere in faith, trusting that God is working in His timing and according to His purposes. Unless God tells you otherwise, continue to believe in Him for the total restoration of your health.

While prayer and faith are crucial, sometimes it is also important to seek medical and professional help when needed. Fear and avoiding knowing medical facts are not acts of faith. Faith is believing the truth in spite of human facts. Needless to say, God can work through doctors, therapists, and other professionals to bring about healing and wholeness, but always look to the great Physician, the author and finisher of our faith—the Lord Jesus Christ.

Be assured, the love of God, His compassion, and His ever-abiding mercy will not keep you in bondage. The Bible says, As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” Psalm 103:13

In Luke 18:7, Jesus tells a parable about the persistent widow to illustrate the importance of persisting in prayer and not giving up hope. The verse reads: “And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?” I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
