How do you see God? Do you see Him as your heavenly Father? Our perception of God is not just an abstract concept but a fundamental aspect of our identity and purpose. Knowledge of God plays a pivotal role in shaping our sense of identity and self-worth as His beloved children.

What comes to mind when one thinks about God is crucial. As A.W. Tozer said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” We need to align our understanding with the true nature of God as revealed in Scripture.

Genesis 1:27 reminds us of the profound truth that humanity was created in the image of God, a reflection of His character and nature. As His redeemed image-bearers, we derive our inherent value, dignity, and worth from our relationship with God as our heavenly Father.

Through His Word and Spirit, God affirms our identity as His cherished children, fostering a deep sense of belonging and purpose in His kingdom. This affirmation manifests in various ways in our lives, guiding us, comforting us, and empowering us to live out our faith.

So, let us continue to seek our heavenly Father daily, gazing into His eyes and striving to reflect His likeness in all we do. As we persist in seeking Him, may our closeness to Him deepen, and may we increasingly resemble His character with each passing day.
