“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” 2 Chro 16:9
God specialises in using the unlikely, the weak, and the ordinary to accomplish His extraordinary purposes. Whether young, like Jeremiah or Timothy, or advanced in years, like Abraham and Anna, every individual is significant in God’s plan. Actually God often chooses the weak, the foolish, and the humble to accomplish His purposes, demonstrating His power and glory (1 Cor 1:27-29).
God’s call knows no limits—it transcends age, gender, and background. Jeremiah initially resisted, saying, “I am too young” (Jer 1:6), but God declared, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’” Likewise, Paul encouraged Timothy, “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity” (1 Tim 4:12).
When we step forward in faith, God provides the strength, grace, and resources to accomplish His work. The disciples—ordinary fishermen and tax collectors—were transformed by Jesus and entrusted with spreading the gospel. They were regarded as unlearned by the leaders of their time. Despite their lack of formal education or status, Peter and John displayed remarkable boldness, wisdom, and authority. So much they realised they have been with Christ (Acts 4:13). After His ascension, Peter boldly proclaimed, “In the last days, God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit on all people’” Acts 2:17. God is pouring out His Spirit upon all who are willing.
God’s invitation extends to all, regardless of past mistakes. The Samaritan woman (John 4), despite her troubled history, encountered Jesus and became an evangelist in her town. Her story demonstrates that no one is beyond God’s grace. God chooses the weak, the flawed, and the ordinary to display His power and glory. When Moses stood before the burning bush (Exodus 3–4), he doubted his ability to lead the Israelites, citing his poor speaking skills. God reassured him, saying, “I will be with you.”
All God desires is loyalty to Him -fully committed heart! Loyalty to God means a heart that trusts Him, seeks Him, and remains faithful, even in weakness. Through such devotion, He reveals His power and grace, making the impossible possible. All He desires is simple, steadfast loyalty—a heart that says, “Here I am, Lord; use me.”
