“Give us today our daily bread.” Matt 6:11
To remain passionate about God, seek fresh encounters. Your hunger for Him grows when you experience something new in your relationship. Each day, God’s grace rained down in the form of fresh sustenance, offering a dynamic and refreshing encounter with the Holy Spirit. There is a lesson in the daily provision of manna to the children of Israel in the wilderness. (Exod 16:14-15)
Just as the Israelites depended on the daily manna, our spiritual fervour thrives when we seek God daily. Imagine the anticipation and joy as they received a new batch of manna each morning, a reminder of God’s faithfulness and love. (Exo 16:21)
Our faith is a living flame, burning brightly through continuous encounters with our Creator. In prayer, let’s not merely seek answers but also seek the Giver. Let’s approach each day with an expectation of encountering God afresh, just as the Israelites did with the manna.
As you embark on your day, consider setting aside a moment for prayer and reflection. Invite God into your daily activities, seeking His guidance, wisdom, and presence. Embrace the idea of a daily encounter, knowing that each moment with Him adds fuel to the fire of your spiritual passion. Ask God to excite you with a new encounter with His spirit.
May your journey be marked by the joy of daily encounters, as you experience the sustaining and transforming power of God’s love. (Psa 63:1-4).
