Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.Isaiah 8:18

This is profound! I understand it might be a bit deep for a morning devotional, but I plan to teach it on Sunday. I am greatly impressed to start the teaching here today: Being born again allows you to carry divine presence and operate supernaturally. The Church had a supernatural birth, and believers are born into a supernatural world. We are kept on earth to cause a stir!

Believers, as supernatural personalities, are meant to be signs and wonders in this world. The Bible affirms that believers are destined for signs and wonders, and extraordinary events will occur in our lives, evoking wonder and amazement from others. We must recognise that we are created to cause a stir! We must recognise and embrace our identity as carriers of divine presence, operating in the supernatural and overcoming challenges through the authority of the supernatural.

Having God’s presence with you is a wonderful gift that comes with redemption. Jesus told His disciples to teach all nations and he assured them that He would be with them always.

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’Matthew 28:18-20

Have you ever wondered why the phrase “I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” is said? The book of Acts explained why:

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing~ good and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with him.

Mark 16:20 confirmed the experience of the disciples, that “And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.”

Your new birth qualifies you to have God as your companion. “I am with you always, even unto the close of the age.” With God by your side, miracles become a part of your life. Just as Israel experienced divine presence in their journey, with God, obstacles can’t stand in your way.

The prophecy in Isaiah 7:14 foretold the birth of Jesus – his name is called Emmanuel, meaning God with us. God, who had turned away from us, has now turned back to us! God’s presence is now with us! This means God is always with you! Your connection with God is restored through the new birth. As spirit beings carrying divine presence and the creative wisdom of God, believers are signs and wonders to this world.

Let me pause here for now!
