And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;
you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in.”
Isaiah 58:12

One person’s action can awaken an entire community.

A well-dressed man entered a filthy city. Burdened by the sight, he picked up an old broom and began sweeping the streets. People laughed at first. But he kept going. Then others joined him, bringing better brooms and a shared resolve. What began with one man’s quiet act sparked a movement that transformed the whole city.

Nehemiah was just a cupbearer. But when he heard about the broken walls of Jerusalem, he didn’t shrug it off. He wept. He prayed. And he took responsibility. What began as a personal burden became a public mission. His boldness stirred others to rise and build. One man’s tears became the foundation of a city’s restoration. (Nehemiah 1:1–4)

That’s how change begins; not with a crowd, but with one heart willing to care, to act, and to believe that God can rebuild what’s broken.

We are built to provoke change; not to blend in, but to challenge what’s stagnant, stir what’s broken, and awaken what’s asleep. When we live boldly and visibly for God, our good works become a threat to complacency and a spark for transformation.

As Jesus said, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.Matthew 5:16

Yes, you can make a difference. You are the answer the broken world has been waiting for. Don’t wait for the crowd; please lay the first brick.
