Though we inhabit the world, our allegiance lies beyond its confines. Christ said, “they are not of the world, even as I am not of it.” If we live for Christ the world will have reason to hate us.

John 15:18-19, affirm that we can expect persecution or hatred from the world because of our allegiance to Christ. In light of this, if the world doesn’t hate us, it could prompt us to reflect on whether we’re fully embracing and proclaiming our faith in a way that aligns with biblical truth.
We have the option to stand apart, preserving our autonomy and distancing ourselves from everything or anything the world does or to engage with the world to exert influence.. Where do we draw the line?
