“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27
Jesus’ words, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you,” symbolise the divine peace that emanates from the heart of our Saviour. This peace is a transformative gift meant to infuse enduring tranquility into our lives.
In navigating life’s challenges, it is crucial to recognise disturbances to our peace as influences contrary to God’s perfect design. Cultivate a deep awareness of God’s nearness, trust in His guidance, soak in His love, and surrender to His sovereignty.
Philippians 4:5-7 provides a soothing balm for our souls, encouraging us to present our requests to God with thanksgiving. Embracing hope becomes a personal and confident journey in the promises of God, knowing that He is forever faithful. Hear what Christ is saying to you: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” John 14:1; Jesus will not abandone you in time of your trouble. He assures you, “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matt 28:20.
In times of uncertainty, meditating on these biblical assurances fortifies our hearts and minds, fostering a resilient spirit. In the face of challenges, remember the promise of God’s abiding presence and the ever-flowing river of grace and peace.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
