Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” Eph 2:19

Every true move of God begins with people whose hearts are joined in love and purpose. The early Church lived as one, sharing life daily with gladness and singleness of heart.

The Bible records of the early Church in Acts 2:42:
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The fellowship is the opening of lives, the sharing of burdens, and the expression of love through genuine connection. This oneness is spiritual in nature, reflecting the unity of God himself. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Jesus encouraged this pattern after his resurrection, drawing his followers into a shared waiting in the upper-room. In one accord, they gathered, prayed, and aligned their hearts. The waiting itself became part of the formation. Unity was formed in patience, expectation, and shared devotion. In that place of unity, the promised power was released. In unity, God commands blessing

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity… for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.Psalm 133:1-3

Unity grows through prayer, patience, forgiveness, and a shared pursuit of God. Our hearts become knit together, and we carry one another in love. Affection deepens, honour increases, and grace begins to flow freely among us. What rests on one life extends across the body. Strength, insight, and breakthrough move through the community like a living stream, touching each member.

This unity calls for surrender, humility, and a continual choosing of love. As hearts align, the Church stands strong, and its witness carries power. The early believers walked in this reality, and heaven responded to their prayers.

The Church is a family. From the beginning, God has worked through family, and in Christ, we are brought into his household as sons and daughters. As this understanding settles in our hearts, love grows deeper, care becomes natural, and unity flows as the fruit of shared life. We find our place within a living and connected body.

In this place of oneness, the Church walks in strength, and the glory of God becomes visible through us.

Yes, I am no longer a stranger or a foreigner, but a fellow citizen with the saints and a member of the household of God. Father, draw my heart into genuine fellowship with your people, that I may walk in love, unity, and in your glory in Jesus’ name. Amen
