“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” Matthew 14:28

A good place to start the story is the 26th verse: “When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. ‘It’s a ghost,’ they said, and cried out in fear.” Matthew 14:26. Christ went away between 3 and 6 am in the morning and as he returns, they see a figure walking on the water toward them; they were frightened! “But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.'”
