Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1

The heart is the seat of thoughts, emotions, and desires, so guarding it from harmful influences is biblical wisdom. The Bible says, “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life” Proverbs 4:23. Guard your heart against anything that could cause it distress. Doubt enters through whatever we allow into our hearts. Our faith, love, and peace should be carefully preserved with diligence.

Life will bring moments that attempt to shake your faith; sudden losses, broken relationships, fears for the future, or unanswered prayers. Even the pressures of culture, inner struggles, and spiritual distractions can stir doubt But James 1:6 warns that a doubting heart is unstable in all its ways. Allowing ungodly thoughts, fear, or worldly anxieties to take root can produce doubt, so careful attention to what we receive mentally and spiritually is vital.

Today, before you open your phone or step into the next conversation, pause and hand the moment to Jesus: ‘I believe in you; guard my heart right now.’

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
