Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

You may have wrestled with the feeling that you’re never good enough. That your past keeps haunting you or that you have to prove yourself worthy. But hear this: Justification is not based on your performance. It’s based on what Jesus did on the cross. Because of His life, death, and resurrection, when you place your faith in Him, you are declared righteous—not because you’ve earned it, but because of Christ’s perfect sacrifice.

You are justified before God, but not because of your own actions or good deeds. It is through faith in Jesus Christ that you are declared righteous. It is the gift of grace. You don’t earn it. You can’t work for it. It is freely given, received through faith.

Imagine standing in a courtroom, guilty of every charge. You know you deserve the sentence, and there’s no excuse for what you’ve done. Yet, the judge declares you not guilty because someone else has paid the price for you. This is what justification by faith looks like in your life.

It doesn’t matter how much you’ve tried to do right or failed in the past. When you put your faith in Jesus, you are justified—God declares you right with Him. Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us that salvation is a gift—not by works, but by grace, received through faith. This means you are secure in His love, not because of your goodness, but because of Christ’s goodness given to you.
