And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” Matthew 24:12

Look around, and you can see it—hearts growing cold, love fading, and selfishness taking over. Jesus warned us that in the last days, as sin multiplies, many will turn away from God. Their love—for Him, for truth, and for one another—will grow cold. But we are not called to be like the world! We are called to be different, to be a light in the darkness

Jesus said, By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” John 13:35. Our love is not just a feeling—it is the very proof that we belong to Him! When the world sees our love, they see Jesus. That is why love matters so much. It is our testimony, our witness, our light.

When love grows cold, everything suffers. Families break apart as self-interest replaces commitment. Greed fuels injustice, leaving the poor and vulnerable unprotected. The media celebrates sin, making holiness seem old-fashioned, even oppressive. In a world full of corruption and fear, people shut their hearts, looking out only for themselves. But we are called to live differently!

This is why Christian love is so powerful. When the world is dark, our love shines bright! When people are fearful, our kindness offers hope. When division and hatred spread, our unity speaks of a better way—the way of Christ. Christian community is meant to be a glimpse of heaven on earth, a place where love is not just spoken but lived out daily.

So, don’t let the darkness dim your light. As sin increases, let your love increase even more! Love boldly. Love sacrificially. Love like Jesus. The world needs to see His love through us. How can you show Christ’s love today? Who needs to experience His love through you?

Let’s be the light. Let’s be the difference. Let’s love like never before!
