Entrust More

Good afternoon, all. Here is a Bible thought for you. Something to chew over today…

“And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?” Luke 16:12

Joseph’s journey from a pit of betrayal to the pinnacle of authority showcases the transformative power of trustworthiness and faithful stewardship. He didn’t let adversity extinguish his unwavering commitment to being a good steward, even when entrusted with the dreams and property of others. 

Joseph’s story reminds us that the measure of our worthiness for greater blessings is intrinsically tied to how we handle what belongs to others. How we use what has been given to us. Joseph’s faithful service, whether in a prison interpreting dreams or managing a nation’s resources, was instrumental in his own ascent to power and prosperity.

Luke 16:12 underscores the universal truth that our trustworthiness with the belongings of others is the crucible in which our own blessings and responsibilities are forged. In pondering Joseph’s life and this teaching, we are challenged to reflect on our own stewardship, recognising that our faithfulness in small matters can open the door to the true riches of purpose, influence, and fulfilment.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10

God is willing to entrust more to us as we seek to use what we have been given diligently to serve others!
