“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” Phil 2:5-8
This word ministered to me deeply today, and I will be as direct as possible. The scripture says: Embrace the mindset of Christ, who exemplified humility and selflessness. Just as Jesus served with humility, love, and obedience, let’s do the same.
As Christians, we’re tasked with nurturing a healthy church. This is not the duty of leaders alone. Jesus commands us to make disciples (Matt 28:18–20); the commandment is for the apostles and every believer after them. Jude encourages building ourselves up in faith (Jude 20–21); Peter urges us to use our gifts to serve (1 Peter 4:10); and Paul emphasises speaking truth in love for church maturity (Eph 4:13, 15).
Remember, you’re a living testament to the world and a vital part of Christ’s church. You are the Bible that the world is reading! In Ephesians, we’re described as both the building and builders with Him (Eph 2:19–22). And John 13:35 says that our love for one another reveals Christ to the world.
Therefore, we must be responsible members of the body of Christ. Build with Him—not tear down! Avoid undermining church unity with idle talk, slander, murmuring, or gossip. These behaviours weaken trust, damage relationships, and stunt the church’s growth. Let’s uphold unity and love, reflecting Christ’s example in all we do.
Let the mind that is Christ be in you: Let’s think and act like Jesus.
