Oasis, Do you feel it too? The longing for something more, something deeper? I can’t shake this desire for a genuine outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It’s like an ache in my soul, urging me to seek God’s presence with everything I have.
Picture this: hands lifted in prayer, hearts ablaze with passion, souls hungry for the touch of the Holy Spirit. That’s the scene I envision—a generation yearning for the manifest presence of God to flood our lives once more.
But why this desperation? It stems from a recognition of the challenges ahead, the battles to be faced, and the need for a revitalised church and Christian community. It’s a call for the power of God to reignite hearts, to bring about transformation, and to lead us into a deeper relationship with Him.
“Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains might quake at your presence.” Isa 64:1
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chro 7:14
It breaks my heart to see so many young people leaving the church, searching for something they can’t find within its walls. We’ve lost sight of true worship and what it means to live out our faith authentically.
We’ve traded the sacred for the profane, allowing entertainment to replace the joy of the Lord. But it’s time to reclaim our purity of worship and to seek God’s presence above all else.
“But the hour is coming, and it is now here, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” Joh 4:23-24
I refuse to let bitterness take root in my heart. I choose forgiveness and love, knowing that bitterness only opens the door to deception and demonic influence.
“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Eph 4:31-32
My aim is clear: to minister unto God and to offer Him my worship and adoration without reservation. Every song sung, every sermon preached, and every prayer uttered is for His glory alone.
“But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts.” 1 Thes 2:4:
In a world clamouring for attention and validation, I choose to seek God’s approval above all else. I stand firm in my convictions, unswayed by the trends of culture.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Col 3:23-24
I believe our cry for revival will be heard. God’s presence will once again fill our churches and our lives. Without him, we are nothing. So let’s return to the heart of worship, where Jesus is truly exalted and His name glorified above all.
“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out and that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19
I refuse to settle for complacency. I refuse to live without the fullness of God’s presence. Will you join me in this pursuit of revival? Together, let’s usher in a new era of spiritual awakening and transformation.
