What will Christ say about this

What should be the role of Church in the current social dilemma facing the world?

What should be the role of the Church in the current social dilemma facing the world?

“Do not call conspiracy everything this people calls a conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.”
Isaiah 8:12

Distinguishing scientific facts and theories from pseudoscientific beliefs is a very tricky one. Since we all know that the demarcation between science and pseudoscience has philosophical, political, economical and scientific implications.

The truth was never the business of politics and economy hence the pseudoscience previalent propagation of various conspiracy theorises.
Should the Church be in frontline, debunking the falsehood behind pseudoscience and conspiracy theories? I doubt it very much, but nonetheless the service of the church includes disseminating the truth and warning against pitfalls.
We have seen various unholy alliance from Churches selling homeopathic medicine to ministries promoting food supplement. I have even heard of Exercise Christian Ministries.
Where do we draw the line on our speciality?

In Luke 12:14 Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” when two brother were very concern about their estates and wanted an arbitrator or an executor. Christ restraint himself and focus on his mission which is of greater value and benefit to mankind.
Another occasion they wanted Christ to campaign for their tax arbitration or reduction. He answered them skillfully “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” Mark 12:17
We must know where to draw the line in the soil. Let man judge for themselves what is right in their sight. But as for the Church let us concentrate in the business of winning souls.
Don’t you think it is pitiful that the lack of power within the churches has hooked us up with the alternatives. Christ healed the sick, we recommend homeopathy and herbs. The disciples cast out demons, we are recommending counselling and therapy.
When there was problem in Egypt men summoned the three hebrew to help in the affair. No worries or fear in their camp. They were insulated from rumour and anxieties of the rulers and astrologers.

Let us keep our eyes on Jesus. Preach Jesus, praise Jesus. And nothing else!

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20
